2020 ChongQing RPS Hawk 250

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

85mph

What motivated you to start your project?

The bike had all the right vibes.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I found a muffler and pipe assembly from RTB Retro. It looked like a “Glass Pak” cherrybomb. LOLI ground the weld from it and the stock muffler, carefully, and separated the two. Welding them myself. It works very well !

What are you most proud of?

AliExpress provided the 70cc Big Bore kit. To retain strength, I had Austin Auto Machine turn the outer sleeve to 74mm to justbarely fit into the crankcase. It was 229cc, now it is 300cc. PZ30 is gone. Nibbi 28 with #40/#125 sprays the juice. No more choke lever. Enrichment button works fine.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

“Where do you ride?”  LOLShinko dual sport tires have great street traction.
