2018 Harley Custom Softtail Chopper

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Have a rideable and reliable chopper

What motivated you to start your project?

Did not have a kickstart bike in the garage and retirement was coming. Tired of slinging my bagger around town.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The brass fire extinguisher that was added after the bike tried burning itself to the ground on the second test ride. Did not account for the amount of swing-arm travel near the wire harness.

What are you most proud of?

The bikes flame theme and the fact that this whole build started out as a set of flywheels I bought for $15.00

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Nice chopper

Doesn’t appear that the bike was built at all. How is that a garage built “chopper” is this a build contest or a bolt on contest? Many other bikes more deserving of votes compared

    • Bill says:

In what pants on head retarded world do you live in that looks even remotely bolt on? Let me guess: big fan Orange County Choppers right bro? Bro those are true bikes am I right bro? Have I said bro enough for your approval bro?

No wait, I’m probably way off base here. The real custom bikes are those bad ass scoots they ride on Sons of Anarchy huh? Those bone stock Dynas with some crappy paint are the real custom builds, how could I forget.

Go get your head examined, you’ll probably need to find a proctologist for that though.

    • Justin Foot says:

      Mr Mahoney,

You, sir, are sadly mistaken. What bike are you looking at? There is nothing about that bike that is just bolt-on. It was carefully thought out after parts were collected for several years and then fabricated/assembled in a home garage, piece by piece, over about 18 months. Which bike did you build and submit?

Finally, you know what they say about opinions don’t you?

  • Jose Elizalde says:

$10,000 spent? Its only worth $7,200. Who needs their head examined? I’m
with Mahoney, Bolt on S&S air cleaner, pipes, seat and have some other guy paint it and call it a “chopper” Do you know the meaning of chopper? Enjoy your bike if you like it and allow others to have an opinion

    • Jerry M says:

Guess I did my job. There are at least two people that think this is an off the floor harley with some bolt-on parts. I will take that as a compliment since there is nothing off-the-showroom-floor about the bike. (P.S. it is only listed as a 2018 since that was the year it got its NM special construction title……)

  • Brian R says:

I don’t know what those other guys are talking about, but I love it! Great job man…great looking rideable chopper!!
