To be different and to give it its own character without changing the style and look of her. Being that it’s a FatBoy and I didn’t want anyone to say it’s just only a FatBoy and they all look alike. I didn’t want that at all.
It took many years to be able to afford a Harley but from going to many bike shows and reading biker magazines plus the internet I knew when the time came to own one I already knew what my first project was and everything else is history.
I did many to her but the one that stands out for me is after installing the air ride system the instructions say to install the air ride switches where the horn mount was but since my horn wasn’t there anymore because I relocated the coil in it’s place I came up with the idea of running the switch wires under the tank and through the handlebars. I drilled, tapped and installed mini momentary push button switches in the left side and right side control housings and soldered the wires from the air ride.
Myself and that I did every single thing myself except the machine work that was done on the heads and cylinders during the engine upgrade. And everything was done in my garage.
That the bike looks amazing, some say rad and most say I should show her which I did start doing three years ago.
