1986 Honda Magna vf700

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To be different! I wanted a 2up bobber, I wanted speed and I wanted handling! But most of all I wanted people to see my bike and wonder if I was ok

What motivated you to start your project?

I’ve always been a fan of older Hondas, and I wanted a different bike than everyone else. I found this bike sitting in a carport behind a barn. Guy had no clue if it ran or anything.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The struts, this bike is shaft driven, so hard tailing it was gonna be difficult at best. So with a little plate steel half a bottle on my torch and a cooler I set out to make struts that lowered the rear end 5 inches but still looked like they belonged

What are you most proud of?

This build is far from perfect I’m working with basic hand tools, in my drive way with no lift. My proudest achievement on Rona May is that I’ve never missed a day of riding during the build.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

I get a lot of Why’s? And people either hate it or love it.
