1982 Yamaha SR500

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Jack had ideas about the bike. He likes to skate so that was going to be an influence. It’s an ongoing build. He’s planning to build a rack for his longboard and who knows what else.

What motivated you to start your project?

My son, Jack, asked if his high school graduation present could be a bike that he and I build together. Of course the answer was YES!

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Probably the skateboard seat. Son’s idea.

What are you most proud of?

The time we spent working together in the garage. We both learned a lot and the garage is a good place to talk.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

People really like it. On person asked us to build him one!
