1974 Harley-Davidson FXE

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To memorialize my “brother, uncle”. Ken Larkin.

What motivated you to start your project?

My neighbor uncle” of 25 years passed away in late August from cancer. He told the estate ex., That the bike must go to me, without my knowledge, until his passing. I e been working on it since late August. The bike had been down and unmoved for 8 years. Just fired it up Dec. 12.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The bike was a rust bucket, I have cleaned polished, and rewired the complete bike.

What are you most proud of?

Being able to witness it coming back to life.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

They can’t believe it’s the same bike.

    Wow! With all the new models and trends, it’s a twinkle to my eye to see classic older models still around. With most to all original parts it’s heart warming to know the new generation gets to see bikes new and older ones from history. I love this bike! Great job on it this far I am also sorry for the loss in which you gained your 74 Harley. Kudos to you, it’s a bitter sweet story.
