Make, Model & Year: 1966 Triumph T-100
Time spent: Over 1000 hours
Engine: This is a 1966 T100 Triumph 500cc motor. I left everything stock so that it was very ridable and also reliable. Triumph 500 Motors are pretty peppy no need to change it all up. I’m also running a Joe hunt Magneto. electronic wise this was the best decision I could have made.. starts on the first or second kick every time.
Intake: The carburetor is in early 1920s pre monobloc Amal. Originally these were used on Vincent Motorcycles so I had to make my own manifold out of stainless. I think this is a great eye candy for the bike.
Exhaust: The exhaust is periip correct.. 1 3/4 Triumph standard . The slip ons are from the early 60s that someone had manufacturerd that I refurbished and rechromed. I really dig the way they look.
Transmission: The transmission or gearbox as they call it is a standard for Speed Triumph.
Frame: This is a 1966 frame that I cut the swing arm off and added a hardtail which is 2 inch drop with a 2 inch stretch.
Suspension: Definitely a hardtail but the front suspension is a 1937 girder off of 1937 Triumph t80 .
Wheels, tires and brakes: I used a 19 inch front wheel from a CB 375 Honda and a Triumph 18 in rear wheel britBri standard. The spokes are Show Chrome and the tires are Firestone Deluxe 400 for the rear and 325 for the front.
Finish – Paint: The paint on Sangria is my own mix. I wanted it to have a baby subtle flake along with some variance in color. This was my first solid color bike I’ve done .
Accessories: Everything from the rear fender, rear fender struts, pegg’s, headlight Mount, handlebars and risers, seat pan to the axles are hand made .There isn’t one single nut or bolt that hasn’t been touched on this bild . I left this bike in the weeds and skinny like on a diet. Sangria is one sexy ride.
