1965 Triumph T120

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To build a Triumph Bobber.

What motivated you to start your project?

I started out on a Triumph Tiger Cub in 1962. Always thought it would be a fun project to rebuild a Triumph.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Took it from a 650cc 4 speed to a 750cc 5 speed.

What are you most proud of?

Taking Best In Show at city car/truck/bike show in 2019.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

‘It’s so little compared to a Harley!”

Engine: Heavily modified original
Intake: Dual Mikuni carbs
Exhaust: English Triumph straight pipes
Transmission: Aftermarket 5 speed, OEM clutch and primary
Frame: Front half of frame original, back half is hardtail
Suspension: Original forks, hardtail
Wheels, tires and brakes: Replaced original brakes with new OEM shoes. Bought new OEM wheels and spokes. Old Triumph guy laced the spokes.
Finish – Paint: No paint, occasional polishing rust off the peanut tank with a Scotchbrite pad.
Accessories: Bottle opener on frame
