What kind of rear wheels did you use ?
they are 14″ by 4 1/2 steel rally with a ford bolt pattern. got them off e-bay new for $32.00 each.
How wide of rim or tire did you end up getting?
Hiya, I am really glad I’ve found this information. Today bloggers publish just about gossips and web and this is really frustrating. A good website with exciting content, this is what I need. Thank you for keeping this web site, I will be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can not find it.
I appreciate, cause I found exactly what I was looking for. You’ve ended my 4 day long hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day. Bye
Love this build.
I recently purchased two nice mechanical brake rear ends, and two chopped off servi-car rear frame sections. I have a 1994 1200 Sportster engine that I bought to power this project. Thus, I have a lot of questions I’d like to ask you about your build.
Does the sportster sprocket have the same center line offset as the G model rear end?
Did you use chain drive to the rear?
If so; What spacers need to go on the trans. high gear output shaft?
O-Ring roller chain? Is there room inside the rear housing?
I’m thinking of using the Sportster front frame section, although I love the curved single downtube of the G frame (my first Harley was a 1932 VL ,which I still own. 50 years later). also I’m concerned about fork stop lock up with a springer in a Sporty frame neck.
Thank you for your interest,
