I decided to take a chance and go with the extra high touring fairing on my ZX11. I feared it would create instability in the wind or passing trucks on the hyway. I was so very wrong and really love this fairing. It cuts the wind at hyway speeds better and is more stable than my stock cafe' fairing. No, I havent tried it at speeds above 140 but it was fine at that point. If you intend to run your machine on a track then you should go with the low profile ones but on the road where protection from the elements and greasy big ol' bugs, this one does the trick. Looks great too! Two thumbs up for Zero Gravity and the quality they put into there fairings!
The windshield does not offer very much additional protection(I'm 6'2"). It is very thin acrylic which bends and bounces around at 60 mph. Also, my friend's acrylic windshield shattered, when it was hit by road debris. It also makes my ZX-14 look twice as ugly. Save your money and buy an MRA windscreen.
I wanted to try the touring shield for a little better wind protection for long trips. The shield did move the air stream up but caused more air noise around my helmet. The extra protection was worth the trade-off though.
