I have had these bags on my 2005, 883 custom sporster since I bought the bike new. since then I have put 53,000 Miles on these bags rain or shine hot or cold going back & forth to work interstate and highway miles. I have had them really loaded up and probably abused them and they our still just Holding up like new. They our also easy to clean. Just water and a rag. Would purchase them again.
Very well made and look great, just one problem that I found very difficult was the quick release buckles to close the covers are NOT very easy to release. Have a very hard time with no gloves on and with gloves on even harder. I am a 74YO rider and maybe that is part of the problem. LOL Just think a better type of release would be the thing to do. Will try to modify with a small surface sand and polish. Will get back with the results. Just don't want to have a hard time opening them in the rain to get out my rain gear.
DK was exactly right about the fit of these bags...they "probably fit." I just had to make a new set of holes in the connecting material so they rode higher up (to stay 2" above the pipes) and now they fit great on my 2009 750 Shadow Spirit, look great, and hold lots of stuff. Love the quick-zip release, easy access buckles, and hidden handles for easy carrying. Went on a 5 hour ride with them the next day and they didn't stretch at all. Will write more if anything changes but am absolutely likiing the bags so far.
