i was given this neoprene face mask for christmas, i loved the look. i went for a high speed ride and didn't freeze my face off for once, the only issue i have had was the strap sliding down my neck but thats not a big deal, great product..... thats all i can say.
I bought this facemask when the weather started cooling off. It works like it should. It is like the cold wind goes right around my face. When riding at lower speeds, my glasses tend to fog up, but putting the glasses on over the facemask helps. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase, and would recommend Dennis Kirk and the product to anyone.
I had been wearing a scarf around my neck to keep it warm, but never again. This face mask not only looks totally cool (it really does glow in the dark!) it kept me nice and toasty. I could move my head with ease. .It fit under my helmet without bulk and was extremely comfortable to wear. I love it! I have worn it when the weather started out in the mid 30's and it kept me so warm, didn't notice the cold wind at all.
I ran for 3.5 hours in 45 degree air temps in a solid nonstop rain on my motorcycle. My face remained warm and dry the entire way! I wore goggles with these, and everything worked perfect. The longer neck allows water to cascade off the mask and onto the jacket vs. down your chest and soaking your shirt. Didn't know it glowed in the dark, but don't care either really. I have a 7 1/4" head and bought the Small size (only available in S and XL). The S fit perfectly.
This is a great product for the price. Takes a while to get use to it, but it keeps the cold the wind off your face and the heat in. I have recommended this to coworks that are still riding to work here in Ohio in November. We ride till the first snow falls, and that could be in December. Like I said keeps the cold and wind off and the heat in. If you ride in 40 deg weather buy one.....
I have been wanting to get one of these for some time now. I finally bought one and wore it for the first time this morning when it was 40*. My face was warm! Best riding gear I have bought thus far. Only con, is with sunglasses or goggles, its hard to get them to fit.
I ride an '08 fxcw rocker w/o a windshield, and these masks are excellent thermal protection. My 1st ride with it was about 40 mi. and began at about 36 deg. f. and ended at about 45 deg. f. and it delivered total comfort. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars is that it's a bit tricky tucking the forehead portion of the mask under the helmet seeing as I wear a half shell. If you ride w/o noodle protection I'd give an A+, but still not "cheap" , as they say, you get what you pay for.
