2009 KLR 650 -XCR Exhaust is perfect!
I installed the V&H XCR slip-on onto my 2009 KLR 650 and it fit up perfectly in 15 minutes to my stock header. There is no need to use the stock mid pipe clamp (the clamp would not work anyway). The fit is tight enough on its own without a clamp. The stock jetting set up runs great with this exhaust for my location (Mississippi). The sound is definitely louder than stock but not offensive to neighbors (maybe)... The XCR definitely makes the bike feel more responsive! I grinned ear to ear once I fired the bike up after installing; I grinned more after riding it! Vance and Hines got it right! ....The stock exhaust can be used for a boat anchor afterwards....

GREAT BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
SHIPPING PROTECTION WAS GOOD QUALITY MATERIAL.
INSTALLATION WAS WAS A SNAP, ONLY A FEW WRENCHES REQUIRED, THE FIT WAS PERFECT. WHILE IT IS "BUMPY" SOUNDING AT IDLE IT REALLY WINDS UP NICELY WITH NO POPPING ON DECCELERATION-ENGINE BRAKING. WITH A FF HELMET THE CRUISING TONE IS NOT OVERPOWERING BUT, MORE THAN THE STOCK SYSTEM. THE HEAD PIPE SECTION APPEARS TO SHED HEAT THROUGH THE SYSTEM BETTER, MAKING THE FOOT PEG AERA COOLER ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
WITH NO OTHER MODIFICATIONS, IT APPEARS TO ALLOW SLIGHTLY QUICKER LOW END TO MID RANGE ACCELERATION. ALL IN ALL, A VERY WELL ENGINEERIED, ATTRACTIVE COLOR SCHEME, QUALITY MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION AT A VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE MAKE THIS EXHAUST A REAL BARGAIN.

This is a great muffler for my KLR. Great sound, more power,

excellent fit and finish
Improves bikes mid and top end power but got quite a bit louder after 500 miles. Not too bad if you stay out of throttle in urban areas.

V&H XCR Slipon for 2007 CRF250R
The pipe is great. Build quality is excellent, but there are two fitment issues I don't like on my 07 CRF250R:

- It doesn't fit with the side panel. The panel has to be trimmed. It's not hard to trim it, but I don't like having to do that. I wanted a bolt-on pipe that didn't need any other modifications. Everything else bolted on perfectly (mid pipe to stock header pipe and muffler to sub-frame).

- There's no gap between the top of the pipe and the rear fender. That's where I like to stick my hand to move the bike around. It needs to be an inch lower and moved about 1/2" toward the center of the bike to get away from the side panel and rear fender.

The bike runs better, and sounds cleaner. It seems to have helped with the jetting a bit (@ 6,000 in Colorado) although the bike was jetted before.

For the price, it's tough to beat, but I wouldn't buy this pipe again if it gets damaged because of the fitment issues above (not because of the performance or quality of the pipe).

didnt fit
I have an '04 CRF250R with a powerbomb header, and the midpipe that came with this muffler just doesnt fit at all. if you're running stock it might, i'm not sure. It seems a little long in the back as well. I'm gonna give it one last shot but i'll probably have to send it back and get something else
