Installed on 2010 HD Heritage
These are nice slip on mufflers. I would recommend them to someone who wants some sound but not worried about added performance. The most difficult part was removing the stock pipes from the bike. Mine were stubborn but once off, not too bad on the install. The use of the existing HD muffler clamps also a bit tricky, the VH slip ons are just a bit larger in diameter so you have to stretch the clamps them bend them back to fit. I would recommend a large set of pliers for this. No mapping needed if only these are added. Enjoy!

Great Slip-ons
Installed on a 2010 Fat Boy Lo. HUGE improvement in looks and sound over the stock mufflers. Difficult to install though. The stock mufflers have threads tapped so you just screw the bolts in and out. These aren't tapped so you must fit washers and nuts on the bolts, in the smallest and most awkward spaces imaginable. Then fit a wrench on the nuts in the smallest and most awkward spaces imaginable. Other than the difficult installation, LOVE them. Would buy again.

Wow!!!
I bought these mufflers for my new 2010 Heritage Classic. Stock mufflers suck! These mufflers have a great deep tone when idling and crusing. But, when you crack the throttle the engine roars. I live in the country, but I could see that I would be the big "pain in the butt" if I lived in a subdivision. The pipes are loud when hard acceleratiing. Exactly what I was looking for. I do believe, "loud pipes save lives". Now to look into ordering the intake and fuelpak. Great!!!

Great for Slip-Ons
I mounted up these pipes on a Softail Heritage and a Deluxe. Much easier on the Heritage! Took about 1.5 hours on the Heritage and 2.0 hours on the Deluxe. Everything fit as advertised although the mounting bolts for the Deluxe were too short if you've installed the optional saddle bags.

Sound is very different between the two bikes even though the mufflers are identical. The shotgun setup on the Deluxe gave it about 2 more HP both stock and with the new pipes over the Heritage. Still can't keep up with the wife!

Overall these slip-ons are far superior to HDs Screaming Eagle slip-ons and at DK they are about $100 less. I also installed Arlin Ness Big Sucker aircleaner kits at the same time. The HD ECM calibration for their setup worked just fine and sure saves a lot of time, money, and hassle over an aftermarket programmer/tuner.

Awesome!
I was very unhappy with the sound of my '99 RoadKing. My wife said it sounded like a high end riding lawn mower! That was the last straw! I researched mufflers for a week and came to the conclusion to try the Vance & Hines Monster Oval Slipons.

After receiving the new mufflers I couldn't wait to install them. Installing them was a breeze and only took 25 minutes. I started the bike and could not believe my ears! Talk about an absolutely awesome sound! I could not wait to jump on it and ride! The pipes roar like Lion! The unmistakable deep sound of the Vance & Hines Monster Oval Slipons blow the doors off any other muffler I have ever heard! I am so happy!

I never want to stop riding unless it's to get gas! I love it! When I wake up in the morning I can't wait to hop on my bike and go for a spin. My wife says they are sic! She loves them too! They are bad to the bone! They look and sound absolutely fantastic!

Great sound
I love the sound. It took about two hours to install. The brackets on the slip ons need to have the nuts tack welded on the brackets, It was frustrating trying to get them started. I finally ground down a socket end wrench to hold the nuts. That was my only problem.

These mufflers were very easy to install and look great.
They let people know you are coming but not from a
mile away. They sound really good.
