It seems as if there is some confusion as to if these pipes will fit the 750-C2, all I can say is yes they fit, and they fit perfectly.
The pipes have a full length heat shield, that will really cut out any bluing that may occur.
I also did not need to do a re-jet on the carbs. The bike runs strong and has no pop on decel. Then again, I did not mod the airbox. That is next, and then the carbs will need re-jetted.
I did the "hole-saw" method of the stock pipes, and although it did make the bike louder, it just didn't have a tuned deep sound that I was wanting. That is not a problem with these pipes. These pipes sound awesome even withe the baffles installed, I can't imagine what it would sound like if the baffles were to be slid out.
The first thing I noticed, other than the oblivious deep sound, was how the bike has a nice cadence when idling. The stock pipes hid that low rumble, sounds really nice now!
There was no one, on-line or anywhere else I looked, that could come close to the price that Dennis Kirk had, but I am finding that to be true with just about everything I buy. I don't even know why I look anywhere else.
45 minutes later was done. After a though cleaning of the pipes I fired it up and what a great sounding difference. Loud and throaty.
Rode 84 miles with my freind who has a Heritage Classic with Vance and Hines and my little Honda sounded just as good as the "Union" bike.
Metric bikes will have some decel popping due to the pair valve injecting fresh air into the exhaust on decel. Also called Idle air control valve.
