kind of a cheesy insert but it works. I ordered them to go with a PAIR of V&H twin slash, I made the mistake of assuming it came as a PAIR but was wrong. one is only one, not one PAIR as i expected. It is a pain getting baffles in and out. use a slide hammer with a hook pulling out the baffles.

Cheap Fix

I purchased the Quiet Inserts to reduce the noise level for my new Vance & Hines Twin Slash Round slip ons. They were supposed to be quiet enough to hear my radio, according to the literature I read prior to purchasing them. That has not been my experience. I still have not installed the inserts. The instructions that come with the inserts are oversimplified. The oirginal baffles are fitted in very tightly. As the instructions state you will need a slide hammer to extract the baffles. I have not yet figured out what to anchor the side hammer to in order to remove the baffles. The end caps don't just fall out either. In the meantime, the Quiet Inserts have gotten a coating of rust on them just sitting in my garage. I fitted them into the opening of the pipes and as I expected they change the look of the opening of the pipe and you can see the rust. I like the look without them better. Wish there was a replacement baffle available instead of this insert but V & H states this is the only update planned for this siip on.
