Reviews for Vance & Hines Classic II Staggered Dual Exhaust System - 19463
Great upgrade for XV750
I wanted/needed a new exhaust for my '95 Virago 750 and had to have at least the front header replaced. These pipes looked great coming out of the box and fit the bike well. There are only a few gripes. For a few more dollars they need to provide gaskets. Also, I spent a good two hours getting the rear muffler and pipe together. They didn't finish the end of the pipe well and it had a lip that I had to file down. It took many rubber mallet whacks and working it in and out to get it to fit into the muffler. It took probably six hours total to get the old exhaust off and the new one on. The sound once it was on is perfect. Not super loud, but a very good rumble. Excellent choice for making the XV750 sound better. If I'm gentle on the throttle they are fairly quiet. If I roll it they roar.I would recommend this item to a friend.

After getting the nuts and bolts that were not in the box with the pipes they went on with no problems and sound great. Now looking into re-jettingI would recommend this item to a friend.
97 Honda Shadow Spirit
First, my baby is not too original looking anymore. It has more of the racing type handle bars, light bar, crash guard with pegs lowered rear shocks and low profile seat. No sissy bar or original handle bar. The Vance & Hines exhaust system was and is the best choice, not only appearance, but sound!!! I live by the motto Loud pipes Save Lives. Since I am actually in Flagstaff, AZ. for the night, which I am traveling from Louisiana to California, my loud V & H pipes have had even trucks hear me. On the 40 traveling at75 mph, all I can say is these pipes are well worth the price, which DK was the BEST for price and shipping and customer service!!!I would recommend this item to a friend.
an excellent buy
after reading a lot of reviews I had to choose between these and the hard krome exhaust fro my bike for the best sound. not only were the V&H cheaper they are a better quality product in my mind. they bolted on without too much swearing, heat shield for the front pipe was tricky to convince to fit for a few minutes. they sound AWESOME, way louder than stock but not obnoxiously so. I could achieve that by pulling the baffles, but I'd need to upjet big time, as it stands the factory jetting runs great (a re-jetting is planned however just to get the most power benefits)I would recommend this item to a friend.
1994 1100 Virago
Recieved them within 5 days. Removed old exhaust and install the new exhaust. Took about 3 hrs total. No instructions was sent but was easy to figure out. Great sound and great look.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Lots more fun to ride my Shadow 1100
After upgrading my 1984 Shadow 700 with drilled-out Cobra exhaust to the Shadow Spirit VT1100C with stock exhaust, I was left disappointed by the sound of the new bike. The 1100 just was not as fun to ride because it was too quiet. So, I purchased the V&H system, easily installed it on my bike, and now the Shadow sounds like a motorcycle should! After six years and 12,000 miles the system shows no signs of rust or discoloration. Beware that the chrome can scratch easily: a soft tie-down strap flapping on a muffler created small scratches as did a bug-scratching sponge. No regrets on this purchase!I would recommend this item to a friend.
THIS EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS SIMPLE TO BOLT ON, LOOKS GREAT, SOUNDS GREAT, AND DEFINATLY ADDS POWER. THE REMOVABLE BAFFLES ARE GREAT WHEN YOU WANT THAT EXTRA SOUNDS, OR IF YOU WANT TO MELLOW IT OUT. DEFINATLY WORTH EVERY CENT!I would recommend this item to a friend.
These pipes have a real great sound to them. I installed them on my 92 kawasaki vulcan 1500 and they sound great!. They were simple to install and the finish was great. Make sure to get the jet kit as well as my bike is running real lean after installing this exhaust system, but that was expected. Installation was a breeze and I couldn't be happier with the sound. I would recomment this exhaust system to anyone.I would recommend this item to a friend.
