Well worth the coin
These pipes look and sound awesome for a great price.
I run these with the baffles in and they are just right, loud but not headache loud. Quite while cruising highway speeds. Recommend getting carbs rejetted for best performance.

Vance & Heins Exhaust
Dennis Kirk has the best prices on the internet. The exhaust was a great improvement on my V-Star 1100 performance and the sound has a perfect rumble.

Slot your mounting holes.
There is no forgiveness in the mounting. Holes should be slotted to allow front to rear placement of the mufflers. I was unable to maintain a .040 clearance on the head pipe. I imagine it will be ok for now. Pipes got louder after three days. I then installed the jet kit and they seemed more tame. Good sound. Nice rapp.

2006 1100 Silverado ... Wow
Awesome. Great sound. Increased power ... did not have to rejet carbs.

Mounting bracket loose in outer carton, the top of which was open when arrived. Bracket pitted with paint worn off on some edges. Repainted.

Top muffler would not fit into exhaust. No clearance between heat shield and muffler. Had to pull top pipe and tweak heat shield and assemble off bike. Top Muffler pipe also slightly out of round, again had to tweak. Needed to lube both upper and lower exhaust with Vaseline to slide over exhaust pipes. A good tight fit.

Had to duct tape a bamboo skewer to dog bone to center dog bones to receive new mufflers. Retrieved skewer and left duct tape in place (not noticeable).

The installation hassle was worth it. Sounds great ... looks great, unbelievable increase in power. Should be low enough db level that I shouldn't get a ticket. Warm weather cold idle much better with new muffler. Hot weather carb flooding, easier to start with new mufflers. Did not have to open throttle fully to start when flooded.

Rumble and roll!
Superb fit and finish! Had to toy with them a little to get proper clearances and angles, but the finish and sound are awesome! They are quiet at idle, but as soon as you crack the throttle with a Factory Pro jet kit, and K&N filters, they roar to life. Beautiful chrome finish, nice glass pack crack when you let off, and nice loud rumble when you accelerate! Brings a big smile to your face every time!

Awesome Pipes
Just replaced stock pipes with these Vance and Hines slip-ons. Easy install, unbelievable difference. Not too loud, just a sweet ruble now instead of the sound of a sewing machine. You need these for your v star 1100!
