Nice Re-Jet Kit
This kit was very easy to install. The directions were very clear, and easy to follow. It included a needle and emulsifier, which takes all the guess work out of the mod. I'm sure Vance & Hines did plenty of research and included what works the best. After checking forums on the internet, I thought I would have to replace the pilot jet, but the kit did not include a pilot jet, so I'm assuming it did not need to be replaced. The bike is running perfect. Great buy!

Quite pleased
I wasn’t very confident that I needed to purchase this kit, based upon some Buell forum chatter that recommended just buying Harley Sportster jets instead. Knowing V&H's excellent reputation (Dynojet actually) I chose to order it out of trust for them. I am quite pleased that I got it, particularly since it includes several helpful parts that were not suggested in the forums, nor available from Harley. The most important was the adjustable needle and custom emulsion tube, not to mention a new better tensioned spring for the slide. Dynojet spent a lot of time on their dyno developing this kit.

I spent several years on the flat track circuit in the 70's, even made the pay window at Daytona. In the process I became fairly good at adjusting slide carburetors. Though C/V units are a little different but same in principal. I state that to emphasize that the stock Buell needle is not adjustable but the V&H is. This turned out to be very important to me.

I followed the V&H instillation instructions to the letter, accommodating for my V&H accessory SS2-R Pipe. However, 2 turns out on the idle mixture screw weren’t enough for my bike. I ended up at 2 ½ on that and lifted the needle one notch (move the clip to 4 down from the top) and bumped the main jet to 170 from their suggestion of 165. I found their recommended setup was much better than stock but still seemed a bit lean on my bike resulting in some throttle lag. With the minor adjustments I made this little scooter works great and will give years of enjoyment to my 17 year old. So glad I purchased this kit! The bike totally came alive with it and the new pipe.
