A person will have to purchase 2 sliders to get proper fitment as the new slider will be slightly longer and will not allow the installation of the wheel. However the installation of the slider to the lower, seal replacement and mounting was very easy. In my opinion this is a very good product.

Is this the stock size for an 89 Heritage Soft-tail? Or is this for a lowered bike?
daniel g on Jul 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is the stock size, but replacing just one may be a mistake. There is wear and tear after a period of time and considering the age of the bike I think I would spend the extra money and purchase two (2) of the slider tube assemblies. I have replaced the slider tubes on a 98 FatBoy and a 97 Heritage and found that both tubes needed to be replaced because of the wear on the stock tubes. Good Luck
