Fitment for V-Factor Chrome Forward Control Kit w/Pegs - 45825
So it uses the oem master cylinder correct? What goes from the madter cylinder to the controls? Is there a ram rod? And is there a spline to go on the shifter side that goes on the bike side from the controls?
This review is not a slam on Dennis Kirk, they shipped fast and was a breeze to order from and I would order from them any day of the week. The revew is bad because the product blows. I had to cut the shifter and break levers and re-do them so they work properly. You have to take your foot compleatly off the break and peg to come down on it. I have a 1981 sporty and most custom parts don't fit all that great, and I made these work, but still irritating. the shifter doesn't have enough room to fit your toe inbetween the pegs, so I cut that and made it work also. So do they work? Now they do after alot of modification, if you can't, or don't have the means to do custom work. stay away from these. Once again I'd buy from D.K. any time I need a part, but not happy with these.
I have received and inspected this kit and like what I see. As I do not have access to the bike yet, I cannot attest to the fit. The parts seem to be very well made and I would recommend this kit to anybody who asked. The bike is a 1980 XLH on a custom frame and I'm hoping the motor mounts are the same as on a stock frame. Will let you know if this is not the case.
