How does this system work with snowmobiles and what is the expected battery life average?
Tom B on Jan 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Not the best for snowmobiling - each person in the group must be 300-500 feet from the next person in line. If there's a gap beyond the range of one of the bluetooth transceivers, the communication breaks down. Also, the battery is on the helmet unit, exposed to the cold and I have a hard time believing that super cold temps don't effect battery life.

Pretty Okay
Works mostly like advertised. Sound quality and setup is fine. For the life of me I can hear the music and intercom fine but the GPS from my Zumo comes in so muffled I can only hear it at a stop sign. One headset locked up after a night on the charger but a reset fixed that after a trip to tech support. The other communicator has a short in the head of the headset USB C connector. I have not dropped it or abused it. We just made a 3000 mi trip to the black hills. If I'm careful I get to hear music and come but it no longer talks to the zumo. A replacement is 60$. I have been on USB C for almost 2 years and this would be the first C head I have ever had fail. It only took 4 days to die which sounds fishy. Planned obsolescence? This is our first trip with coms and I loved that part. Range is about 300-400 yards max. We only had 2 riders so we didn't test the mesh function. Connecting was simple and worked 90% of the time without a hitch. The mounting options were adequate. One fell off but he reapplied with the same sticky tape and its still there today. Battery life is amazing. The most we rode was an 11 hour day and never saw a low battery indicator. The voice controls work but they were superfluous. The motion controls are a disaster and immediately turned off. The devices are rain proof for sure. I just wish the usb C connector was stronger. Now I'm in 60 more bones. If I had to start over knowing what I know I am about the same money as a better reviewed Cardo. Believe it or not it was the usb c that swayed me to these because I hate micro chargers with a passion.
