High quality, all steel sprockets meet the demands of todays highest horsepower machines
Powerdrive countershaft (front) sprockets are manufactured from case-hardened chromoly steel for the ultimate in strength and durability
They also receive a parkerizing surface treatment for rust and corrosion resistance
Any time you use other than the standard front/rear sprocket sizes, clearance must be checked
At this time we are not able to specify on our website the standard tooth sizes of the sprockets or size and length of chain for your motorcycle. We will display every sprocket that fits. If you need the standard tooth size information or chain size and length, call us toll-free 800-969-7504
I bought this sprocket because the stock gearing on my 2002 KDX 200 is so short, that 1st gear felt worthless. I notice while riding that I could climb any hill with me (240LBS) and my 10-year-old son (80LBS) in 2nd gear. I also noticed that the bike really started to accellerate in 3rd, so I figured a taller gearing would make better use of the powerband. Boy was I right! 1st gear now, (while still much lower that second before the change) gets you moving a little faster and 2nd still wheelies with ease and pulls longer. While 3rd will still wheelie. All gears pull longer and top speed will make you think "Why am I going this fast in the dirt!" But you ignore that, because you can't wipe the silly grin off you face. Definitely an improvement. Good quality. Easy install. Cheap price.
Not sure the quality is any better than JT given Sunstar was more expensive for this model. Even with chain play/deflection set perfectly, it has a little bit of a whine compared to stock, may just need to wear in a bit.
