When I decided to replace the rear tire on my 2000 Fatboy I knew it would be tough to break the bead on the rim. When I saw this bead breaker in the D. Kirk catalog I knew it was just what I needed. This tool was invaluable to me in getting this job done. In a matter of minutes I had the bead broken and the old tire off the rim. I couldn't believe how easy it made the job. If I hadn't had this I most likely would have damaged the wheel, hammers and pry bars just don't cut it!
I was somewhat shocked by how heavy it felt as I had bought to go with me on ADV riding. However, it works very well for its intended duty. I tried it on a 150 TKC80 and it barely fit. The description mentions a maximum tire size, be cognizant of that if you buy.
