Had a chance to use one of these a few years ago while on a totally off trail sledding day. The experience was so good I finally bought one and it paid for itself, having to extricate a nearly 700 pound 4 stroke sled. Hooked up one sled to the other and applied force and the stuck sled walked out. I like the version with the 2 S hooks as opposed to the d-ring handle. They supply you with a 1 foot long strap which is more versatile than a d-ring. You can use it to hook onto a sled or use it as a wrist strap. Can't hood a d-ring onto a sled.
The outer tube makes it real stiff and hard to work with. Does what it says. I yanked another sled from a hole. Others scattered as they though it was going to break. It didn't, and the other sled popped right out.
