Build a top tier pro sled- it took a year of planning but the goal was achieved
Stage IV cancer forced me into medical retirement two years ago. Last winter I set up my 850 to run the 800 open class. It went great so I decided to run two circuits this year and needed a 600.
The sled matches the plan and I did the entire build by myself with no issues.

Make, Model & Year: Polaris XCR 2021
Fondly known as: The race sled
Time spent: 100 in 12 days
Sled cost: I have sponsors but retail would be around 24k
Money spent: More than my wife knows!
Engine: ISR requires a stock motor for cross country so the goal was to make it light, very efficient, and exceptionally low under hood temps
Intake: Stock but sealed chemically then wrapped with very affective heat tape - required to run stock but we insured all air is cold and from outside the engine compartment
Exhaust: Jaws Race can on stock pipe. Their can does not lose hp and it does help ensure lower under hood temps. A lot of research has been done on this one!
Drivetrain: We race short course so I have a 1.75" backcountry track with 154 stud boy studs into their superlight backers- its an awesome setup! That is teamed with prototype machined wheels from Velocity with ceramic bearings and dupont slides Clutches balanced and setup by Thunder Products with Velocity specs
Tunnel/Chassis Modifications: Upgraded Polaris bumpers and skid plate More importantly all Polaris Race Dept factory venting to significantly reduce under hood temps
Suspension: All springs upgraded, including torsion, to race dept springs. Valved for my set up.
Brakes: Hayes Phantom kit with ceramic pads along with tki lever and bushpusher cover
Finish - Paint: Custom SCS wrap
Accessories: Bushpusher cluster relocation, rsi billet throttle block, rox handguards and tunnel traction, tether, and usi epic skis along with many more
