2021 Polaris 850 Matryx Switchback Assault 146″

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To separate the sled from the crowd and create that one-off look.

What motivated you to start your project?

My wife and I used to ride together but last year her shoulders bothered her to much to ride anymore. So I sold her 2012 Pro R 800 Switchback 137″ and my 2018 XCR 800 Switchback 137″ to get one new 2021 Switchback Assault 146″. Of course I can’t leave anything stock, so it began.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

The wrap was definitely the most noticeable change obviously, but the 909 Big Bore will be the most fun part.  As of the time of this post, we still have NO SNOW! It’s driving me crazy! LOL!

What are you most proud of?

I like doing all the work. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment knowing you built it yourself.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

“That’s how Polaris SHOULD have built it!”
