2021 Handwork Snow Scooter

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Make a vehicle that can transport one man to an apiary far away in the woods.

What motivated you to start your project?

I have a beehive in the woods and in the winter when there is a lot of snow it is hard to get to it.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Almost everything, I saw similar projects on the internet but when I started the plans, I had to adapt my designs to the material I had. Of course except for the drive motor I bought.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud that the project has come to life and has been serving its purpose for two winter seasons. In addition, it sometimes serves us for fun on the snow.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

Many are amazed, some want to ride, some remark that the scooter should have two skis up front to improve stability. I think I will accept that suggestion and I am already collecting material for the upgrade.
