Before I had my 850 I had, and still have, a 05 Ski-doo Renegade 600. I did a lot to that sled over years of running it. I even put on a poor mans wrap. AKA a whole lot of stickers! lol My intended objective for my 850 was to make it similar to what I had done with my 600, but a whole lot better! Wrap, bumpers, clutching, exhaust, skis, suspension, and what ever else I decide to do to it. It may never be officially finished, only better then before. I also wanted it to be something that I always wanted to ride, and constantly take pictures and videos of!
For years I would go onto Ski-doo’s website and build the “sled of my dreams”. I would look over all the different models and decide witch one would fit my riding style and then also look into accessories and upgrades for it. I did this enough times that I was look into sleds while in school. As time went on sleds changed and my income changed, and all for the better! I finally decided to pulled the trigger and order a brand new 2018 Ski-doo Renegade Backcountry X 850, and man I couldn’t be happier!!
The most unique and creative aspect of my sled has to be the wrap. Its an Arctic FX Wrap and it turned out amazing! It was inspired by snocross and what I had done with just stickers on my 600 Rev. I absolutely love it!
I’m proud of the work that I put in to get me to the point of even considering a new sled! I’m also proud of the actual work that I have done to the sled so far.
“That sled fits your riding perfect.”
“That wrap looks awesome!”
“Holy crap that thing pulls!”
