2009 Yamaha Nytro FX

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To honor my uncle Mark. He loved Yamaha, and mopars, that’s why I have the hemi badge, it’s a Yamaha, his picture is on the sled, and a decal with his name is on it.

What motivated you to start your project?

This was a total Memorial/dedication sled. My passion for snowmobiling came from my late uncle Mark Tuominen. He loved the sport and especially had the love for vintage snowmobiles. He had a collection of over 200 vintage sleds. His first brand new machine was a 2007 Yamaha Phazer. He tragically died February 16th 2010 after suffering a brain aneurysm on valentines day on the 14th….he was only 42.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

I put a button with my uncles face where the nose yamaha emblem was.

What are you most proud of?

The entire machine! It all came together and makes me smile every time I walk by it!

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

That it’s very nice, fast, and respect the fact I made it in honor of my uncle Mark.
