1983 John Deere JDX-8

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Originally it was going to be a winter farm hand for pulling horse manure and fence tools.

What motivated you to start your project?

A friend bought a Delaughter Grass drag sled and told me I should use one of my Deeres to go racing.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

The fuel tank bracket and hand made dash.

What are you most proud of?

The fact that it can hang with a Merc Trail twister in 440 Stock D.

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

They didn’t know a Deere mid-mount could be fast and look cool.
