1980 Arctic Cat El Tigre 6000

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Build a Stock Vintage Race sled.

What motivated you to start your project?

My son Levi wanted to be part of Team Mattison Vintage Racing Team with his Dad, 5 uncles and two cousins.   So we built this sled for him to race in West Virginia at The Big East Snowmobile Championship at Timberline Ski Resort in Davis WV.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

It not what we did to the sled…It just has a 530cc engine…. it’s more about the new sleds this one has beat in the races.

What are you most proud of?

The first time that he beat me (Dad)!

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

“Holly crap you guys are fast on those old sleds!”
Team Mattison Vintage race sleds are always a fan favorite at Timberline Ski Resort at the races every March
