What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Building a vintage stand up vintage sled that would tackle deep snow, with plenty of power.

What motivated you to start your project?

Wanted to build a deep snow vintage Ski Doo

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

Not sure what one thing. I extended the steering post to accommodate standing up while riding , extra steering support , motocross style handlebars .

What are you most proud of?

Custom made expansion chamber

What do other people say about your snowmobile?

Engine: 1970 Rotax 340 TNT engine , rebuilt.
Intake: Original Tillotson HD 22A
Exhaust: Custom made expansion chamber
Drivetrain: Upgraded twin roller chain case and drive axle from a twin cylinder Elan. New drivers, boggies, springs and a new 1″ lug GB track.
Tunnel/Chassis Modifications: Extra chain case supports welded in place. Extra top tunnel supports welded in place
Suspension: New heavy duty springs on rear drive shaft and on the boggies. Elan skis with extra leafs added, spreaders and 1″ aluminum riser blocks, 8″ ski skins, upgraded late model Elan spindles and steering parts.
Brakes: Stock late model Elan brakes with new pad .
Finish – Paint: Chassis is powder coated with a wet black color, small parts painted black and aluminum. I left the hood original but buffed it out.
Accessories: Handle bar mounted tether , custom bracket mounted on steering support for tachometer, custom aluminum clutch guard, custom aluminum gas tank mount.
