Overview of Shoei Helmets Matte Deep Gray Neotec® Modular Helmet - 0117-0137-05
Shoeis most recent entry into the modular helmet realm offers protection, comfort and versatility with a redesigned shape and improved features that place the Neotec® ahead of the rest. Be it standard touring, sport-touring or cruising, here is a helmet that will suit your style with the premium quality Shoei is well established for.
Improved Design: Shoei has revamped its modular helmet style with a streamlined and attractively sculpted shape that conveys the feel of freely moving through the outdoors. Overall shell size is kept compact. A redesigned aerodynamic spoiler helps to cut lift, reducing neck strain.
Shield and Sun Shield: With the Neotec®, Shoei now includes a built-in sun shield, the QSV-1. The visor tucks neatly away beneath a non-intrusive shell built into the helmets liner, and can be lowered with the easy control of a sliding button
Pinlock® Fog-Free System: The CNS-1 shield includes built-in pins for Pinlock® anti-fog lenses, which transform single shields into dual shields which resist fog buildup
Flip-up chin bar and face shield
Stainless steel components within pivot locking system
3 shell sizes
Internal sun shield (QSV-1)
New CNS-1 shield (wider and taller than the previous CX-1V shield)
Pinlock anti-fog shield and lens system included
Fully removable 3D interior liner
Interchangeable cheekpads to customize comfort and fit
First thing I would say is this Deep Gray is a bit lighter in color that I was hoping for. The fit is good, my head is right at 59 cm and order a large. If I was in a store I may have tried on a medium. After wearing it for a couple weeks I think it fits good. It is much softer feeling than my HJC. The only spot that is bothering me is behind my ears. It's very quite with the vent close, but noisy with the top vent open. With the top vent open you do get a lot of air on the top of your head. The sun visor is very nice and comes down far on your face, you end up not noticing it's even there. I wish I would have bought this helmet before buying 4 other cheaper ones, would have saved me money in the long run. I hope DK sells the pads for inside the helmet, as long as I don't drop it I could get new pads and have a new helmet after a couple years of wear.
