Reviews for Saddlemen Rigid-Mount Specific-Fit Quick-Detach Drifter Slant Saddlebags - 3501-0230
They're OK, sorta...
Purchased for 2007 Dyna Low Rider. These are decent looking saddlebags with a fair amount of capacity. That said, I have some issues. They don't seem to be available without the turn signal relocation kit, and I had already done that job with a Kuryakin kit, so the extra cost for those bits was a waste. The Quick -Detach hardware is marginal. the rear mount threaded rod and nut (listed in parts as a "lock" nut, but definitely not) are a tad loose, so I hope the Loctite does its job. Once mounted, the front of the bags jam up against the shocks, making it difficult to fasten/unfasten the front cover snap. The bottom clip that holds the bottom of the bags has a quarter inch or so of slop, allowing the bags to flop in and out while riding. The small locks that supposedly lock the buckles are strictly costume jewelry, as the buckles are not involved in fastening the straps, but fastened by nylon snap locks. So, another wasted cost of no value. All in all, I think that for $500, they could come up with a more professional hardware kit.I would recommend this item to a friend.

Got the bags on after getting through the bad instructions and finding some metric nuts to hold the studs in.The hardware is metric I don't know of any Harley that has metric hardware.Put these on my 2002 Harley Dyna Low Rider FXDL.I wouldn't recommend this item to a friend.
Just Mounted these on my 2011 Harley Fat Bob. The instructions are garbage and you don't need the turn signal relocation kit that comes with the bags. Just remove a bolt at a time from the fender mounts and install the supplied stud, spacer and nut. torque to spec then mount the bag support and the quick release nut. repeat with the other bolts and install the bags with the 1/4 turn fasteners inside the bags. Maybe 10 minutes to install on bike. Clearances look good but are a little close to the turn signal about 1/8 clearance but still enough room to open and close the bags with ease.I would recommend this item to a friend.

i bought these for my wife to put on her 2010 883... the install was easy and the bags look great we both like how they fit nicely around the shocks and conform to the rest of the bike and accent the lines, i was suprised how room they have inside... they are nice bags and i would say if you want nice bags with out spending the big bucks for a custom bag these will do just fine.... kinda a FYI all i did was show my wife what to do and she put them on, i like the idea of any parts we get for her bike she can put on and these she was able to doI would recommend this item to a friend.
Saddle Bags mount hardware from a dark hot place
The saddle bags look good an I'm satisfied that they will be okay. The hardware that was included was totally unsatisfactory, everything from the wrong size attachment bolts to undersized holes. The tail light relocation kit was unusable and I had to buy a different kit from the local Harley dealer.I wouldn't recommend this item to a friend.
Good deal for the money
I bought these bags because the H-D bags are way over priced. They fit and installed well. The one thing I didn't like was the install instructions, they were very vague and lacked pictures. The turn signal relocation kit was also kinda cheap. After the confusion I am fairly satisfied with the end result.I would recommend this item to a friend.
