Perfect fit on 2000 Ultra, pockets are good size, 1 pocket is large enough to hold a suspension air pump. Lots of velcro tape to attach to lid also has cutouts for lid rail screws if you have them installed such as i do. Very easy to install took less than 30 mins to install both of them.
The fit, style and value were great. I graded the quality fair because the adhesive on the back that is supposed to stick to the lid of the bag didn't stick very well. Cold or hot when I opened it the organizer wasn't sticking.I used another double faced adhesive on it that sticks better.
Great but no matter how well you clean your lid they WILL fall off!
Must be reglued every so often. Use silicone now and stuck well. Hold a ton of light stuff that you may need quick access to. Gloves, sunscreen spare glasses, etc. Glad I purchased and would buy again.
I ordered these to install on my new Street Glide hoping to free up the bags of little items. Conceptionally they are a great idea, but the mounting system leaves little to appreciate. I cleaned the surfaces per instructions, Test fit them (where I saw that they didn't fit exactly too clean), removed the tape backing and stuck to the inside of the lids. After sitting for a full day I put them back on the bike. Imagine my surprise when I took the lid off to find the things dangling on the webbing. The velcro even came off the product. If it was just the fact it didn't adhere to the lid I would understand that maybe I screwed up. But when it came off the organizers also I have to question if Saddleman has ever tested their own products! Hopefully by using 3M extreme tape they will hold.
The plastic backing was too wide in the center part of the bags where they need to fit around the lid flap screw studs. The bags would not sit flat against the lid surface so the double sided tape could not grab. Also the double side tape glue was dried out and not sticky anyway! The company needs to re-call this item and cut down the plastic backer width so that they fit properly!
I wish I had read reviews before I wasted my money on these. Reading about them it is a perfect idea. Getting them to stick to the lids is another story. When the Velcro comes off it leave a tar type glue that take a while to remove. I then tried gorilla glue that did not work then I tried 5200 the strongest marine adhesive that failed also now I going to try contack cement if that fail I will just throw them away . This has been a 1 month ordeal trying to get these things to adhere to the lid and for the velcro to stick to the organizers also..Very bad design
