rips apart
I purchase the classic explorer seat with back rest 2 years ago, after a year I notice little tears in the seat where my butt sets (live in MN so it not ridden all year long) then it started getting worse tearing at the seams and the "leather" started cracking, I regularly, once a month, put leather( H-D brand) conditioner on it. should not be cracking or tearing at the seams. Looks good at first but DOES NOT LAST. Not even 2 years and It needs replacing. waste of money.

new review
warranty wrote the previous review, yes it did get tears, I sent it back under its life time(?) warrenty and they did recover it at no cost except for shipping it there. I now have over 90,000 miles on that seat and it has started to get those little tears again in the last 8-10,000 miles where my butt plants its self. I did buy a gel pad to use on long trips as I'm in my mid 60's and my ass is not in the shape it use to be in. lol
