Doesn't work with all Saddlemen Bags
I returned these (although I think they woud really be a nice feature to have) since they wouldn't work with my saddlebags. I have the Jumbo Drifter Slant bags with a quick release yoke (has fasteners inside the bags that you just twist and the bags will come off of the yoke, leaving the yoke mounted under your passenger seat).

The posts in this kit are HUGE! You would need to drill big holes into the back of each bag to install the hardware, which would be fine if I had bags without other smaller holes already in them. I was hoping to be able to do away with the bulky yoke mount and just use these docking posts so I could remove the bags whenever I want plus have a cleaner look on the rear fender, but it looks like I will need to get different bags if I want to do that.

greatest item I've bought yet
This docking system is the best! So much better than the yoke system for my saddlebags. A really clean look. They took me a hot hour to install. Was well worth the C-note!!

Very simple and quick to install
This kit is going to make cleaning and detailing my bike a whole lot easier. It will also make it 100% easier to check the air in my rear tire. Thank you

Perfect fit wil my large Saddlemen Tattoo bags!
I agree that the instructions aren't the best. Some pictures or illustrations would have really helped. I installed the docking posts while my husband went to buy a 1" hole saw (required for drilling holes into the back of the saddlebags.) I had everything installed and had drilled pilot holes into the bags before he returned. All that was left was drilling the holes, installing the grommets, installing the bracket that fits over the supports, and mounting the bags. These bags fit my Kawasaki Vulcan 500 perfectly and look terrific!

Big bag of parts with very few instructions
This bag of parts has lots of pieces to fit a lot of different bikes. Unfortunately none of the bolts have the same thread as a fender bolt on a 2003 Honda VTX 1800 C. Also this kit will not work with a Honda Deluxe Sissy bar/Luggage rack setup without some modifications. Fortunately my machine shop buddy figured out a way to adapt the support bracket to the sissy bar mounting bracket and the resulting installation looks and performs very well. I wish it was possible to buy just the quick release posts and some short bolts to mount them with.
