I bought these for my '11 Dyna Fat Bob. They fit perfect between the shock and turn signal. The overall construction seem good and is very rigid and seems to hold it's shape well. They look good on the bike and have enough room to carry my stuff to and from work. I mounted mine with Easy Brackets so I can remove them without leaving a bunch of supports hanging on the bike. A couple of minor things I'd like to see changed. The buckles are rivited and cannot be adjusted if you stuff the bag full. The only other thing is I wish these were another 1 1/2 to 2 inches deeper from top to bottom
I settled on the saddlemen custom fit jumbo drifter slant saddlebags because I wanted to mount them with edge brackets and these bags have a solid back and are well made so they won't sag with weight in them. There are also 2 mesh pockets in each one for stowing smaller items. I'm very satisfied with these bags.
This product was exactly delivered as described when it came to the door. Only simple annouance was that it only came with two silver locks (decoration mostly) which didn't make sense considering there are four straps (2 each side). Other than that, it is durable, pretty easy to mount and a good product. Just know that on a Yamaha V-star classic, with sissy bar you will need to bump up the metric 8.125 bolts to the 50mm in length ones as the supplied ones are too short. :+( The bag looks awesome mounted and surprisingly big to put things in.
Bought first set in '09. I used the quick release hardware they supplied, and followed their instructions to a T. Within 2 months, I had a hole from rubbing on the brake caliper.Customer service was less than helpful, until we talked to the President of the company, and we quickly received a new pair of bags, in mid 2010. This new pair, within 1 year, the lid fabric is splitting on all corners of each bag. Nope! I can't say that I would recommend these to anyone. That being said, I love dealing with Dennis Kirk.Their services, prices, customer service, Is top notch.
