Will these work with stock pushrod covers ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes
do you need special push rod covers?
murnice k on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Are you referring to pushrod tubes?? if so, then here is my answer.... I have a 1998 Road King with the 80ci EVO with stock tubes, it was recommended by several other bikers on various forums to cut 1/2" off the upper push rod tube (which slides inside the lower one). If not, then the adjusting collar of the pushrod can catch on the upper pushrod tube and cause issues.... So, I cut 5/8" off mine just to be safe and haven't had any issues. Works like a champ.

Awesome! I didn't have to remove rocker covers!
I got these so I wouldn't have to remove my rocker covers. Well worth the extra coins to not have to break open the top. I put these on a 1998 FLHP-I Road King with EVO engine.
