Lack of snow to the gas station? No problem now!
I have used my Rouski wheels to travel from garage to storage shed, as well as during recent rides when the bridge crossings were long and Khaled snow cover. They are of very high quality, built like a tank. BUT, they are VERY heavy. I guess I haven't noticed it on the trail but something to think about. Drilling was difficult as it is very hard to align the drill bit to drill across all the ribs on the skis and hit the hole on the other side of the Rouski. Maybe a longer bit could be included in the kit?

One downside with this design, I can no longer fit my arctic cat Panteras side-by-side in my SnoPro enclosed trailer. The hardware and the deployment handle have added JUST enough width to the skis that I have to stagger the sleds by a few inches in the trailer, which is fine, easy fix. BUT, it makes for a little work when I have to slide the leading sled past the other sled, I already took the powder coating off the handle as it skis scraped past the other snowmobile. I discovered I can still slide past the other sled if I deploy the inside wheel ONLY, which gives me enough height to completely miss the other sleds ski. For this reason only, I think the RollerSki brand wheel might have been a better choice for me? BUT that brand is maybe not as simple to deploy as the Rouski is, so I STILL think the Rouski is the better version overall.

Pros & cons
Pros: A must have for getting to gas station on snow less roads and parking lots. They actually steer pretty well. Stretches of roads that get plowed like black top cottage lanes and Highway bridges. No trailer loading interference as all hardware is inside ski track.
Cons: Not really for quick road crossings. To time consuming. Half slushy roads and the wheels kind of drag or plow along. Still better than not using them. Small diameter wheels don't work on plowed gravel roads or shallow snow conditions. Yes, if you are a full size adult you can rock your sled back and forth to retract the wheels without getting off.
