Overview of Roetin Performance X-10 Two Carbide Wear Rods - X102258

  • Six inches of 90º carbide on 1/2 in. bar
  • Two carbide wear pads

NOTE: Some models require drilling extra hole(s) in skis to mount carbides. Dennis Kirk recommends removing any paint from the studs before use by wire-brushing.

NOTE: Wear rods replace the originals exactly on all models except those with EZ Steer either as original equipment or installed later. For those models, these wear rods replace both the plate and the 2-stud, 14-3/4 in. wear rod with a 3-stud, 17-3/8 in. design.

Note: Polaris Touring 600 HO FCI IQ 08/Touring IQ FS/FST 08 only requires one rod per ski

Don't waste your money

In less than 300 miles, all I had left to these were the bolt studs! The complete rods and carbides were gone. I can't believe how badly they wore.hem replaced them with Woody's Doolys. Let's see how these last.

Price is right $$$$

These fit perfectly on my 2002 Mtn Max 600, can't wait for snow. I know they will perform on the trail.

CHEAP

Save yourself the hassle and buy Woody's. A piece of carbide fell out of the bar when I opened the package. I then proceded to install the other bars. Carbide pieces where falling everywhere. If you can't install them without them failing, what is going to happen on the trail. I tried to save some money and buy these instead of the Woody's that I usually use. What a mistake.

Not impressed at all.

There cheap wear rods. I bought them on for the last run of the winter. They were cheap and it shows. the trails were pretty beat up. And I'm not impressed with the chunks of carbide that Roetin uses. These carbides have 6 (1 inch) chunks in a row. And they weren't even all inline. The carbide wear pad on each end are recessed into the bar. Just not real impressed. I'll spend the extra money for Woody's next time. I thought that maybe they would have improved the quality since I used to by them when I was kid and couldn't afford anything better. Apparently I was wrong. I won't waste my money again on this brand.

Work fine

The wear rods installed easily. Be careful not to over tighten. I did and broke one of the bolts off the wear rod.

Carbides

So far so good! I've got about 100 miles on them and they haven't shown any noticeable wear but they certainly can gouge a wood trailer! :)
