good fit works well I have got 3 all together seams to last about 1 season have had to replace every spring so keep a spare with me so if it goes will have it to install to get home can usaully tell when main fuse blows I have an 93 yamaha virago 750I would recommend this item to a friend.
Good alternative to expensive Yamaha OEM
My '87 Yamaha XV535 Virago was putting out ~18volts to the battery - time for a rectifier-regulator replacement. I located the Ricks Motorsports version at 1/5 the cost of the Yamaha unit. The unit was the same size as the Yamaha, but one of the screw holes was mis-drilled and I had to ream it out with a Dremel tool in order to get the screw to go through straight (the built-in washers on the Yamaha's screw was catching on the raised part of the regulator as the hole was too close to it). Also, the unit included zero installation notes, other than "check your stator to ensure it is not grounded", as labeled on a sticker on the box. On a positive note, the plugs fit great with the Yamaha's and voltage is now ~14VDC. It would've been nice if thermal compound and dielectric grease were included with the rectifier-regulator.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Fit well and corrected the problem.
After determining the battery and stator were good I purchased this to solve my charging problem. Went in well on my 93 virago 1100. The charging sytem is working now. I recently purchased RIck's starter clutch and have been satisfied with that as well. They seem to be good quality significantly less expensive than dealership parts.I would recommend this item to a friend.
I came, I installed, it worked
I purchased the Rick's Regulator/Rectifier. It comes without any documentation at all so don't expect any. The plugs and the color coding of the wires were perfect. On my Suzuki GS850L it required longer screws to install than the original part (another $1.40# but everything works well. I changed out the stater at the same time #also a Rick's, and with no documentation at all). I'm happy with the products and the fit. It was strange to not have any documentation at all. The Reg/Rec was color coded and the stater wasn't.I would recommend this item to a friend.

VR was a perfect fit on my 96 Virago 750. Looked just like OEM, but much cheaper! Made in Taiwan not China which is good. Only thing, what is the warranty?I would recommend this item to a friend.
Fit great and just like OEM, but much cheaper!!! Be sure to put dielectric grease on terminals and heat paste between regulator and frame to facilitate heat transfer. Shipping time was excellent!I would recommend this item to a friend.
