NOTES: The only way to test your CDI box is to swap it out with another known good unit from the same make/model/year machine. Check all ignition components and connections to ensure they are within tolerances. If some components are out of spec they should be replaced as they can cause premature failure. Because of this we recommend you rule everything else out before replacing the CDI box.
This CDI box is sold without a manufacturer's warranty. The manufacture has pre-tested it to ensure it functions properly
I did notice a higher increase in RPM range...I was kind of expecting more from it, considering the description of the item. Also I have a HOT CAMS stage one cam in my dirt bike so that might have something to do with why its hard to squeeze anymore power out of it.
If you want a higher RPM range or if your old CDI just goes bad, I would go with this one.
I puchased to replace the factory box. Ended up having other problems not due to cdi box. The box does work in place of factory box. A factory CDI box is $500 -$600 for a 1996 350 Warrior. So it is a much cheaper way to go.
