Had a unrepairable flat rear tire on my 2009 Kawasaki ER-6n 650 which weighs 450 lbs. Needed a tire and a rear stand so I looked to Dennis Kirk. Got a new tire at a bargain price and was skeptical about how good a $52 stand would be when there are others others costing more.
After assembly (which you do not need instructions), I locked the front brake, righted the bike off the kickstand and lifted it with the PSR ECONO REAR STAND myself.
Shook the bike while it was on the stand. This is all the stand I need. It is stable. Plan on getting the matching front stand for a complete winter storage kit.
Its cheap and so far it works. I do not like the design of how the spool holders mount to the stand. If the screw comes loose or breaks the holders can turn and I would guess could drop the bike. I check those screws religiously before every use.
I am not easily impressed with anything. Let me tell you that I am pretty impreseed with this product for the money. For this kind of money this is the best stand out there. Can't even get one on ebay for this price. Is it the sturdiest one out there,no probably not but lets face it none of them really are. I'll put it this way. I trust my $12,000 bike on it. This makes it so easy to clean your wheel and oil your chain. Also it is alot easier to use by yourself than you would think. Going to buy the front stand as well for winter storage. Trust me. Buy it.
