Progressive Suspension Fork Springs - 40/70 Spring Rate (lbs/in) - 11-1513

I have used these fork springs on a few of my bikes and would use them again. The benefit is most noticeable when rebuilding the forks of an older bike with a soft or mushy front end. The springs are very easy to install, simply drop in place of the original. My particular applications required no additional shimming or spacing. Now, whenever I need to replace an old leaking set of fork seals I replace the springs as well. The cost is very reasonable and varies from around $65-$100 depending on which bike model application you are buying. If you are planning on rebuilding your forks, in addition to replacing the seals and fork oil, I would recommend dropping a fresh set of these springs in as well. The difference will be noticed not only under extreme conditions such as hard braking or cornering but also in the overall feel of the bike during every day cruising.

The bike was in rehab, it had been abused. I nursed it back to health. Drive shaft, rear diff, fuel pump. You know, the usual results of a rock-n-roll lifestyle will wear you down over time. This beemer was over twenty years old, yet was calling for the open road . . .

But once on the road again she handled like a sloppy drunk. What can I say, she'd been ridden hard and put up wet. New sneakers and new suspension were just what the doctor ordered.

There were aftermarket progressively wound springs in there already, but after twenty years they were collapsed. I slipped them out and put these new ones in and let's just say it was back to rock-n-roll again.

The bike handles so much better, and this isn't the first pair of Progressive Suspension's springs I purchased. It's probably the fifth or sixth pair as over the years I have found their products to be the answer to my motorcycle handling woes, whether on the street or on the dirt.

Just get 'em. You won't be dissappointed.

our v-star 650 was long overdue for a fork oil change &
it's handling was becoming too soft up front. these new
springs work much better than stock with better control
& still a comfortable ride. be sure to follow the instructions
because the fork oil level setting is different with the new
springs & spacers.

I used these springs in my stripped down 1982 Honda
Goldwing. Ride height was just right and spring rate
feels very good!!! Not using any air pressure.

bought the gold wing springs for my vtx 1800,so that i wouldnt be hitting bottom of the shocks, I installed them during the winter, just got a chance to ride today and so far [ 30 miles] i have decided that i will NOT be returning to the stock springs,

With the stock springs I would get a slight wobble when no handed between 30 and 40 mph. Installing these springs complete removed this problem! When pulling my trailer, the wobble was severe,even with my hands on. That also has gone away. Just got back from a 600 mile trip, and I am extatic with these springs!

Replaced mushy springs on 84' V65 Magna. Springs are a great addition to older bike. Feel good and much more stable ride. No issues with install. Used new PVC for each spacer. Instructions were clear and had all required details. Very Nice.

These springs made a world of difference in the ride and handling. Well worth the time and money, installation wasn't bad, as I had the front end apart for seals anyway.

Installed these springs into my 1983 BMW R100 (along with a pair of 412 series rear shocks) and suddenly cornering is confident, road imperfections are smoothed out, diving on braking is drastically reduced.

All-in-all, a great upgrade for the money.

These stopped ole 82 Gold Wings front end from saggingand smoothed out the ride.

First off, this product #58967 WILL fit the 2007 Honda Aero. Despite what the fitment says. The original springs are 14.5" in length and the Progressive springs are 18". The difference comes into play with the spacer. The original spacer is about 11" long and the one that you put back into the forks is only 3.20" for the 2007 Honda Aero. I would highley recommend this upgrade to your front suspension. Also, you might want to get a set of progressive rear shocks. Just a suggestion.

I recondition 5-10 older bikes each year, more often than not i'll throw a set of Progressive fork springs in. They restore ride height and eliminates that squishy, bouncy, 30 year old ride.

These springs from Progressive (11-1126) are a huge upgrade from stock on my '02 Honda Spirit Shadow VT1100C. Nose diving on deceleration or stopping is no longer an issue. The directions included as well as following the Honda manual make this swap a breeze. I installed them with new spacers, 15W fork oil and new seals, and I love them already. I highly recommend these springs for anyone looking to improve their ride and handling.

fitted for '84 goldwing -- OEM springs were worn out. Acts like a new bike. can't go wrong

After 50,000 miles on the original springs I decided I was tired of the rough ride and bottoming out through driveway entrances, had the springs installed at my local dealer and am very pleased with the improved ride and especially the braking improvement, I hadn't realized how much the front dipped when braking until the new springs were installed, I'd recommend these to anyone that has noticed any decrease in ride height or front end dip in braking or through driveways.

I changed my fork seals at the same time I installed these springs so It took me a while. It was the first time I've ever been inside the forks. The bike handles much better and I'm glad I bought the Progressives.

Bought these springs for my rebuild of a 1984 Honda Sabre VF700S.
The ride much better than the original shocks giving better handling and feel.
A few more parts could be included to redo the forks. however I was able to reuse some teflon seals and other parts.
Was only about 1/4 inch longer than the original fork springs so I didn't need to modify spacer in the forks at all.
