Progressive 418 vmax shocks 12.5"
Just installed these on my 1996 vmax, adjusted them up and went for ride. Buy these shocks!!! Don`t know why I waited to get these. They are the perfect mach for the progressive springs in front with lowering kit. Great service from Dennis kirk again. Fit and finish on the shocks are excellent. Went with the non heavy duty units, and with my girlfriend and I on it approx 325lbs, shocks on firmest setting, 1-1/2" sag. I`m 200lbs, so perfect for 1 up riding, nice and soft for both of us. Highly recommend these shocks!

Okay Purchase
I can't say I'm overly excited about these shocks. I find them only somewhat softer than the stock shocks. They look significantly better than stock but I was hoping their ride would be much better. I do find a slightly less bone jarring ride than with the stock shocks but I honestly thought it would be more significant. I would however still recommend them for the price.

Me and wife weight 430 lbs are they good for are weight?
Steven W on Aug 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: should be, every time I have made the change to progressive I have been over joyed. You might want to check the specs, if you can get a longer than stock length, you might be better off as that increases your range of adjust-ability,.
How much lower will these shocks be from my factories ones?
David m on May 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These are 12" eye to eye, you'll have to measure your stock ones
