Wanted to like them

July 14, 2014

The mirrors look good as stand-alone ornaments and they seem to be constructed well and of good materials, but they fail miserably in fit and usability. Using the mirrors to see behind you is nearly impossible as it is similar to looking through a scope from several inches away. Even if you manage to see what you want through the mirror, your eyes have to adjust focus first and then adjust back to see the road, which is obviously very dangerous on a motorcycle. However, since I was only adding these mirrors to make my custom chopper street-legal, the visibility wasn't my biggest issue with them. The worst part was the way that they fit. The curve of the stem is so extreme, that it is impossible to get the mirror parallel to the handlebars or the ground. Even with the mirror end adjusted to its max, it points down at the end toward the ground. This makes it look very odd and also makes the visibility through them even worse.

I wouldn't recommend this item to a friend.

Love It or Hate It

Great styling, bright finish, mounting hardware under the handlebar rarely needs adjusting, adjusting nut next to mirror will loosen so be prepared to adjust if riding on a regular basis, if you don't have the right wrench with you, be prepared to not be able to use the mirror until you tighten the nut properly, be careful with mirrors as they will crack on you if you press on them too tightly while adjusting mirror tighting nut, good buy if you like a stylish mini-sized mirror.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
