The tri mount made installation of the powermadd star series hand guards a breeze. I installed them on a Honda CTX700. With not much room on the handlebars, the adjustable ends allowed me to maneuver around the brake reservoir. Everything tightened up very nicely and a long ride today kept my fingers nice and toasty!
Very durable mounts, but they are not good for people who have crowded handlebars. That's a bit ironic, because they're supposed to be designed for people who DO have crowded bars.
The handlebar ring mounts are big and mounting them onto already crowded bars required me to move my winch switch and the front left brake cable on my Grizzly 700 which was annoying. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to move my left side brake cable very much because there is zero slack in the line, which means the ring mount on the left side is lower than the one on the right side. The end result of this is that the mounted handguard on the left side is farther away from the brake handle by an extra 2 inches than the one that's mounted on the right side of my Yamaha Grizzly 700. Ideally, I'd like my handguards to be mounted a lot close to my brake handles to reduce the effects of the wind.
