This is what I wanted!
This kit was half the cost and extremely better than the previous product I have bought locally. Heat is fast and controllable. The mounting inside the handlebar tube protects the components from damage and there is no "slipping grip" problem that I've experienced with other handlebar heaters.

Heaters work great-better then normal heated grips
Pros: Use any grips you want, heats up bars-stay warmer longer then just heated grips, get plenty hot!!!

Cons; A little more work too install then heated grips (but worth it in my opinion) cheap connectors provided and toggle switch is large and ugly but works.

Non wearing, low invasiveness, great solution.
This is the snowmobile version, without the high low option, so be aware of that. I mounted this on a motorcycle, but added a digital thermostat instead of the switch to control the heat output. It works better then I imagined, and I am thrilled with the setup. If you arent building or buying a digital thermostat, you want the other version of this, the one with the high/low switch.

But this unit with a smart thermostat (no switch to install, less wiring fussing, no relay headaches) is a really slick solution... it just gets warm when it gets cold, and is invisible the rest of the time.

Still loving them
Still working great! If you want information on a homebrew digital controller developed for them, we have a discussion going on here:

(If that link does not survive, go to www badweatherbikers com and find the "knowledge vault", then "Electrical - ...", then "Heated Grip Controller".)

Best warming option on market
Pros-I love this design since it goes inside the bars and lets you use whatever grips you want. Provides good heat. Good value, fair price.

Con- Comes with cheesy cheap switch, it works though. A lower (rocker) style switch would make more sense. If your not mechanically or electrically inclined, it's a little more work then installing heated grips.

Great Idea, Great product
Much better then heated grips, this goes in the bars so you can put whatever grips you want. I've purchased several of these for multiple machines I own.

Will this fit the honda rancher TRX420FA6?

BEST ANSWER: As long as you can drill holes in bars that would not make them weak they will work on any 12 volt head light power.
